Amplified Walker

Amplified Walker

A company needs vision to be able to stay ahead of the competition. By correctly anticipating short term as well as long term future developments and trends, products can be developed that withstand the test of time.

The master course “create the future” acts as a test case: the aim is to envision electric mobility in the year 2030. Through an extensive trend analysis cross-referenced with Delphi studies it is possible to derive forecasts that can be utilised to create plausible future scenarios, applicable to electric mobility and transport methods.

The amplified walking concept takes a movement that is natural to all of us and amplifies it in order to elevate the efficiency of the movement to a competitive level. The concept ties in with the ever pressing need to stay active, fit and healthy and manages to cater to all different age groups by offering different types of movement and product characteristics.

The concept provides an individualised and customisable method of transportation, making extensive use of (future) consumer technologies such as 3D printing and augmented reality. The concept also keeps secondary purposes into account, such as contributing to the energy grid when fully charged, or acting as a charge point for small mobile devices.
